Kapono’s at The Lounge is a collaboration between Henry Kapono, the Henry Kapono Foundation, and The Lounge at Island Sound Studios — uniting the creative vision of award-winning music icon Henry Kapono and acclaimed television & film director Bryan Spicer. Blending artistic legacy with an elevated guest experience, the collaboration introduces a fresh chapter for Hawai‘i’s live music scene and serves as the new creative homebase for the Henry Kapono Foundation’s artists and programs. Set on the waterfront in Hawaii Kai, the venue offers unforgettable performances, inspired dining, handcrafted cocktails, and the welcoming spirit of aloha. New Year’s Eve Celebration!
Kapono’s at The Lounge debuts on December 31 with an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration featuring gourmet dinners, intimate performances, handcrafted cocktails, and waterfront ambiance. Guests will be among the first to experience this new era of Hawai‘i’s music scene as the night flows from beautifully curated dinner shows in The Lounge and The Velvet Monkey to the VIP All-Access party kicking off at 10:30 with dancing, champagne, and festive party favors — a perfect way to ring in the New Year in true Kapono style.
The evening begins with handcrafted cocktails and curated Dinner & Show seatings - two in The Lounge and two in The Velvet Monkey Speakeasy (5:00pm & 8:00pm), each offering its own uniquely crafted experience.
After 10:30pm, the celebration expands into an VIP ALL-ACCESS experience across all three spaces — including Studio B, a rare opportunity to party inside the historic recording room.
